Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
A Class 3 student remained locked in a government primary school for about seven hours at Parmeshwarpur under Chargawan block in the district.
The school staff went home without checking to see if any students were left after school. When the seven-year-old boy did not make it home, his parents came to the school to look for him. They also informed the police.
While searching for the child, police also arrived at the school and heard him crying inside. The police broke the lock of the school and rescued the child.
According to reports, a seven-year-old boy fell asleep in his classroom and the staff locked the school and left without any inspection.
